Sea Sprite 23 (Alberg Sea Sprite)
Description
The Alberg Sea Sprite, commonly known as the Sea Sprite 23, is a classic fiberglass sailboat designed by Carl Alberg and initially built by Sailstar Boats (1958–1964), later by Bristol Yachts, American Boat Building, and primarily by C.E. Ryder Corporation (Bristol, Rhode Island) from 1968 to 1985, with approximately 500–700 units produced. Featuring a full keel, transom-hung rudder, raked stem, and classic counter stern, it’s designed for coastal cruising with exceptional seaworthiness for its size. Available in Weekender (open layout) and Daysailer (cockpit-focused) configurations, it’s powered by an optional outboard (4–6 hp, typically in a well) or small inboard diesel in later models, with tiller steering.
