San Juan 30 TR
Description
The San Juan 30 TR (Tall Rig variant) is an enhanced version of the classic Bruce Kirby-designed masthead sloop, built by the Clark Boat Company in Kent, Washington, USA, from 1975 to the early 1980s. This racing-oriented iteration features a taller mast and larger sail plan for superior light-air performance, building on the IOR 1/2-ton prototype roots of the standard San Juan 30. With the same lightweight fiberglass hull but optimized rig dimensions, it's prized for its speed and agility in club racing or coastal cruising. Approximately 360 San Juan 30s total were produced, with the TR being a less common but sought-after subset (exact numbers unknown).
