San Juan 26
Description
The San Juan 26 is a compact, trailerable masthead sloop designed by Don Clark (founder of Clark Boat Company) and built by the Clark Boat Co. in Kent, Washington, USA. Introduced in 1975 as a versatile day sailer and weekender, it features a keel/centerboard hull for shallow-water access and easy trailering. With around 100–150 units produced until it was replaced by the San Juan 7.7 in 1979, it's valued for its solid fiberglass construction, responsive handling, and affordability. It's less race-oriented than earlier San Juan models (like the Kirby-designed 23 or 30) but excels as a family boat for coastal hopping or club sails.
