San Juan 24
Description
The San Juan 24 is a legendary fractional rig sloop (often listed as masthead but with fractional characteristics in practice) designed by Bruce Kirby as an IOR 1/4-ton racing prototype. Built by the Clark Boat Company in Kent, Washington, USA, from 1973 to 1981, it became an instant hit in one-design racing fleets, with over 1,200 units produced—making it one of the most successful small racers of its era. Its lightweight fiberglass construction, deep fin keel, and spade rudder deliver thrilling performance for club racing or coastal day sails, while the compact interior suits occasional overnights. Variants include a taller rig option for light winds and minor keel depth tweaks (standard 4 ft).
