Description
The Sailcrafter 36 (Columbia 36) is a 35.75-foot masthead sloop designed by William Crealock and built by Columbia Yachts in the United States from 1967 to 1972. This model represents one of Crealock's most successful designs, combining his philosophy of creating seaworthy offshore cruisers with Columbia's reputation for solid fiberglass construction. Built with a fin keel and spade rudder configuration, the boat offers excellent performance characteristics while maintaining the stability and build quality that made Columbia Yachts a respected name in American sailboat manufacturing. With 400 units produced during its five-year run, the Sailcrafter 36 became one of Columbia's most popular models, establishing itself as a proven choice for serious coastal and offshore cruising.
