Sabre 30 Series II (Hull nos.101-136)
Description
The Sabre 30 Series II (also known as Mk II or 30-2) represents a refined evolution of the original Sabre 30, produced by Sabre Yachts in Wiscasset, Maine, USA. Built during a transitional period in the mid-1980s, this model introduced subtle enhancements for improved performance and comfort while maintaining the core design philosophy of seaworthiness, spacious interiors, and balanced handling as a coastal cruiser-racer. With only 36 hulls produced, it's rarer than the Mk I (100 hulls) or Mk III (108 hulls), making well-preserved examples highly collectible today. The Series II bridges the gap between the original's classic lines and the Mk III's more modern redesign, featuring a walkthrough transom for better cockpit flow and minor rig upgrades for light-air efficiency.
