S2 6.8 Meter (Grand Slam)

Description

The S2 6.8 (also known as the S2 6.8 Meter or S2 22) is a trailerable daysailer/racer-cruiser designed by Graham & Schlageter and built by S2 Yachts in Holland, Michigan, from 1983 to 1987. Approximately ~100 units were produced as part of S2's Grand Slam series, targeting the Midget Ocean Racing Club (MORC) rule for one-design racing while offering light cruising capability. The "6.8" denotes its length in meters (22 feet LOA), and it's celebrated for its planning hull, lightweight construction, and responsive handling—ideal for solo or short-crewed club races, gunkholing, or family daysailing. Variants include the Exciter version (taller rig for racing) and standard shoal draft models.
