S2 10.3 Meter
Description
The S2 10.3 Meter is an American racer-cruiser sailboat designed by Graham & Schlageter as a masthead sloop with a Bermuda rig and first built in 1982 by S2 Yachts in Holland, Michigan; production ran through 1987 with a total of 45 boats constructed. The fiberglass monohull (with wood trim) features a raked stem, reverse transom, internally mounted spade rudder on a tiller, fixed fin keel (standard deep-draft version or optional shoal-draft keel), and a practical cruising interior that sleeps eight in a V-berth forward, two settee berths, and twin aft double cabins, plus an L-shaped galley, opposite navigation station, and enclosed head; it is powered by a Yanmar 2GM diesel auxiliary and can carry a symmetrical spinnaker for downwind sailing, delivering a blend of competitive racing ability and comfortable cruising with a hull speed of about 7.1 knots.
