Rogue

Description

The Rogue is a versatile, lightweight daysailer designed by New Zealand naval architect John Welsford (jwboatdesigns.co.nz). Introduced in the late 1980s/early 1990s, it won the Traditional Small Craft Society Beach Cruiser design competition in 1988 for its blend of classical lines, modern plywood construction, and multi-mode capability (sail, row, outboard). It's a fast, general-purpose open dinghy that's sneaky quick under sail while remaining practical for fishing, camping, exploring, or use as a yacht tender — popular among home builders for its simplicity, performance, and trailerability.
