The Bruce Roberts S370A, a multi-chine variant of the acclaimed Spray 370 series designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson in the 1970s, is a heavy-displacement cruising sloop renowned for its seaworthiness and versatility, with over 500 built worldwide, many undertaking epic voyages like circumnavigations or the Northwest Passage, thanks to its robust long-keel hull that excels in heavy weather while maintaining moderate speed (up to 12 knots surfing). Measuring 37 feet 2 inches LOA (or 39 feet with bowsprit), 12 feet 4 inches beam, and 4 feet 9 inches draft in shallow configuration, it displaces around 18,750 pounds with 8,000 pounds of ballast for exceptional stability, rigged as a sloop or cutter (ketch optional) with a 46-foot foretriangle height and sail areas including a 329-square-foot mainsail and 594-square-foot genoa for efficient light-air performance, powered by a 20–33 hp diesel auxiliary.
