The Bruce Roberts 35 Ketch, designed in the 1980s by Australian naval architect Bruce Roberts, is a versatile heavy-displacement bluewater cruiser favored by owner-builders for its robust construction, comfortable accommodations, and balanced ketch rig that facilitates short-handed sailing on coastal or offshore passages. With a fin keel and skeg-hung rudder for stability and protection, it offers customizable layouts across center-cockpit trunk cabin, aft-cockpit trunk cabin, or flush-deck versions, sleeping 4–6 in a practical interior (V-berth forward, U-galley, saloon settees, aft cabin or quarter berth) under 6'5" headroom.
