The Bruce Roberts Adventurer 22, also known as the Spray 22 or TS 22, is a compact, trailerable pocket cruiser designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson in the 1970s, celebrated for its seaworthy yet lightweight hull that balances performance in light airs with family-friendly accommodations, making it a staple for coastal day sails, gunkholing, or weekend overnights with over 500 built worldwide as an accessible DIY project. Available in centerboard (for shallow draft versatility), fixed shoal keel (for stability), or bilge keel versions, it supports straightforward construction in fiberglass (C-Flex, single skin, or foam sandwich) or cold-molded wood-epoxy, delivering responsive handling under a generous Bermudan sloop rig ideal for single-handing or beginners, with plans including full-size patterns, material lists, accommodation layouts (trunk cabin or motorsailer), and sail/rig details for builds under $10,000–$15,000 total.
