Quickstep 24
Description
The Quickstep 24 is an American cruising sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Edward S. Brewer in 1976. This 23.92-foot vessel was constructed by multiple builders including Stannard Boat Works, C.E. Ryder, The Anchorage, Shannon Yachts, and Quickstep Sailboats, with a total production run of 200 boats. Built with fiberglass construction featuring a fin keel with skeg-mounted rudder configuration and masthead sloop rig, the boat was designed specifically for coastal cruising applications where comfort and seaworthiness were prioritized over pure racing performance. The design represents Brewer's expertise in creating practical pocket cruisers that balance sailing performance with livable accommodations, featuring a substantial ballast-to-displacement ratio that provides good stability and stiffness for its size class.
