Pyramid 30
Description
The Pyramid 30 is a high-performance American racing sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Carl Schumacher and constructed by Pyramid Boat Works beginning in 1982. This 30-foot fractional sloop represents Schumacher's expertise in creating ultra-light displacement racing machines that prioritize speed and responsiveness over cruising comfort. Built with fiberglass construction featuring a fin keel with spade rudder configuration and fractional sloop rig, the boat was designed specifically for competitive sailing applications where performance takes precedence over accommodations. The design is characterized as a light sailboat which is a very high performer, though it is not stiff and has a low righting capability if capsized, making it best suited as a racing boat.
