Passport 44
Description
The Passport 44 is an American blue water cruising sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Robert Perry and introduced in 1995 by Passport Yachts (a division of Hong Kong-based Queen Long Marine Industrial Ltd., with production later shifting to Xiamen Hansheng Yacht Building Co. in China). Built until around 2000, approximately 50–60 units were produced, making it a semi-custom, limited-run model in the Passport lineup (which emphasizes Perry's signature "fat-stern" hulls for stability and volume). Also known as the Royal Passport 44 in some markets, it's renowned for its solid hand-laid fiberglass construction (no core below waterline), cutter rig, and balanced performance—ideal for couples or small families on extended coastal or offshore passages.
