Pacific Seacraft 25

Pacific Seacraft 25

Description

The Pacific Seacraft 25 was designed by Henry Mohrschladt and built by Pacific Seacraft from 1976 to 1981, with 157 boats constructed across both Mark I and Mark II variants. This American trailerable sailboat features a fiberglass hull with wood trim, simulated lapstrake construction, and a modified long keel with cutaway forefoot. Starting life in Mohrschladt's garage as a trailerable double-ender inspired by 19th-century workboats and Scandinavian redningskoites, the design established Pacific Seacraft's reputation for overbuilt, seaworthy pocket cruisers. The boat displaces 5,700 pounds with 1,750 pounds of lead ballast and features a cutter rig configuration with keel-mounted rudder. Notable characteristics include its spooned raked stem, angled transom, and construction philosophy emphasizing seaworthiness and load-carrying capability in rough conditions.
