Paceship P 29
Description
The Paceship P 29 (often referred to as the Paceship 29 or P29) is a classic Canadian-built cruiser-racer from Paceship Yachts Ltd. (Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia), produced in the late 1960s to early 1970s (primarily 1969–1972). It's a variant or closely related model to the Northwind 29 (sometimes interchangeably called Paceship Northwind 29), designed by C&C Design (Cuthbertson & Cassian). This boat represents Paceship's shift toward more modern IOR-influenced designs after their earlier traditional small boats. It's known for solid fiberglass construction, decent performance, and value as an affordable coastal cruiser — suitable for weekend/overnight trips, club racing, or extended coastal sailing in moderate conditions. There appear to be subtle distinctions in some owner discussions (e.g., headroom, interior tweaks between "P29" and "Northwind 29" variants), but specs overlap significantly, with the Northwind label often applied to the primary C&C-designed version.
