Ohlson 22

Ohlson 22

Description

The Ohlson 22 is a compact Swedish fiberglass cruiser-racer designed by Einar Ohlson (one of the Ohlson brothers, known for elegant, performance-oriented designs in the 1960s–1970s). Built by Fisksätra Shipyard (Sweden) from 1970 to 1977, with 444 hulls constructed (some sources note production by Parca Marin in Finland as well). It features solid GRP construction with a fin keel for balanced handling and good upwind ability, a masthead sloop rig for simplicity and performance, and a practical interior (typically 4 berths with V-forward, settees, small galley/heads, and storage for weekend/coastal cruising). It's praised for seaworthiness, light-air capability from its sail plan, responsive feel, and classic Scandinavian lines—stable, durable, and fun for club racing or family daysailing, with many still actively sailed today.
