North Wind 60

Description

The Northwind 60 is a luxurious fiberglass bluewater cruising sailboat built by the Spanish yard North Wind Yachts (founded 1973 in Sant Andreu de la Barca, near Barcelona) in the late 1990s. Production was extremely limited—likely fewer than 5 units, with examples like the 1998 "Barbas" highlighting its rarity. Designed for extended family voyages with an emphasis on comfort, seakeeping, and style, it features a center-cockpit layout for safety, a fin keel for performance, and a generous sail plan for light-air capability. The interior is expansive for its era, sleeping 6-8 in 3-4 cabins with multiple heads (including showers), a full U-shaped galley, large saloon with dinette, and dedicated nav station—all finished in high-end teak. Auxiliary power is typically a large diesel (e.g., 150-200 hp).
