Northwest 21

Description

The Northwest 21 is a compact, trailerable fiberglass sailboat designed by Gary Lundy and built by Northwest Yacht Constructors Ltd. in the United States, starting in 1975. Approximately 140 units were produced, with options for a fixed fin keel (with skeg-hung rudder) or swing keel for shallow-water versatility. It's a masthead sloop rigged for easy single-handing, emphasizing responsive handling and portability—ideal as a daysailer or weekend cruiser for 2 people. The cuddy cabin forward provides basic overnight accommodations (V-berth for 2, small galley area with sink and stove), while the open cockpit seats 4 comfortably. Powered by an outboard motor (typically 4-6 hp), it's lightweight for trailering behind a standard vehicle.
