Northeast 39

Description

The Northeast 39 is a rare fiberglass performance cruiser-racer designed by Bob Ball and built by C&C Yachts (with some by Bruckmann Custom Yachts) in Canada from 1984 to 1987. Only 7 units were produced, making it a collector's item among enthusiasts of 1980s Canadian yacht design. It features a fin keel with spade rudder for agile handling and upwind prowess, paired with a masthead sloop rig for straightforward sail management—suited for coastal racing or spirited cruising in varied conditions. The interior is practical for 4-5: V-berth forward, U-shaped galley, saloon with convertible settees, enclosed head with shower, and quarter berth aft, all with teak accents under 6'2" headroom. Standard power was a Yanmar diesel (typically 27-30 hp).
