Description
The Camper & Nicholsons 83 (also known simply as the Nicholson 83) refers to a rare, one-off luxury sailing superyacht, best exemplified by the well-known example named Mustang (hull/model designation: Nicholson 83). Built in 1987 by the historic British yard Camper & Nicholsons in Gosport, UK, she is the only yacht listed under this exact model name/size in records—making her a unique, semi-custom bluewater performance cruiser with world-class pedigree. The hull originated from Doug Peterson's proven Ocean 80 series (a fast, capable offshore design built at Southern Ocean Shipyard). To accommodate a large lazarette and other custom features, the hull was extended by about 3 feet, then fitted out to exceptional standards at Camper & Nicholsons. This blend gives her excellent performance (quick passages, good in heavy weather) combined with C&N's legendary craftsmanship, teak accents, and luxurious appointments.
