Nauticat 441

Description

The Nauticat 441 is a Finnish-built pilothouse motorsailer designed by Kaj Gustafsson and first produced in 2009 by Nauticat Yachts Oy in Pietarsaari, Finland, as a contemporary evolution of the iconic Nauticat 44 with an extended reverse transom for enhanced aesthetics, stability, and cockpit space while preserving the brand's hallmark heavy-displacement seaworthiness, panoramic all-weather visibility from its raised deck saloon, and opulent liveaboard accommodations ideal for couples or families on extended bluewater or coastal voyages under its masthead ketch rig for balanced, short-handed sail handling. Constructed from solid fiberglass with a protective long keel and skeg-hung rudder for unyielding tracking and grounding resilience, it displaces 36,376 pounds with 12,125 pounds of iron/lead ballast, measures 44.78 feet LOA (48.5 feet with bowsprit), 36.91 feet LWL, 12.30 feet beam, and 6.23 feet draft, achieving a hull speed of about 8.0 knots and 927 square feet of sail area powered by a reliable 150 HP Volvo D3 diesel engine with 222 gallons of fuel and 164 gallons of water capacity for motoring ranges over 800 nautical miles. Renowned for its fortress-like build quality, 360-degree saloon panoramas, warm teak-trimmed interior boasting 6'4" headroom across three cabins sleeping up to eight (including a full-beam aft owner's suite with en-suite head), U-shaped galley, dedicated nav station, and versatile inside/outside helms, the Nauticat 441 has been produced in limited numbers through the 2010s, enduring as a premium modern classic for traditionalists prioritizing indomitable durability, serene heavy-weather poise, and Finnish refinement on passages where comfort and capability eclipse velocity.
