Moody 376
Description
The Moody 376 (also listed as the Moody 37/376) is a popular mid-sized family cruiser designed by Bill Dixon and built by A.H. Moody & Sons Ltd. (in collaboration with Marine Projects, Plymouth, UK) from 1985 to 1991, with approximately 200 hulls produced in fiberglass. It features a modern fin keel with rudder on skeg (or optional bilge keels for shallower draft), a masthead sloop rig for straightforward sail management and good all-around performance, and a spacious center-cockpit layout (sleeps 6 in V-berth + saloon settees + aft cabin, galley, enclosed head with separate shower) with excellent headroom and storage—widely regarded as one of the best 37-footers of its era for comfort, seaworthiness, solid Moody build quality (thick hull laminates, teak joinery), and balanced handling that makes it forgiving and capable for coastal or light offshore cruising.
