Mirage 27
Description
The Mirage 27 (Perry) is a popular Canadian trailerable coastal cruiser-racer designed by acclaimed American naval architect Robert Perry and built by Mirage Yachts Ltd. (Pointe-Claire, Quebec) from 1980 to 1985, with approximately 80 hulls produced. This fiberglass masthead sloop features a modern hull with a reverse transom, fin keel, and internally mounted spade rudder for balanced handling and speed (hull speed 6.24 kn), making it ideal for family weekends, club racing, or light offshore passages accommodating 4–5 in a spacious interior with V-berth forward, settee berths, galley, nav station, and enclosed head. Derived from the Mirage 26 but with improved aesthetics and performance, it's noted for its roomy cockpit, sensible layout, and value.
