Minifish-Super
Description
The Minifish-Super (sometimes just called a "Super-rigged Minifish") isn't an official factory model from AMF Alcort or Laser Performance, but rather a popular custom modification or home-built upgrade that many owners do to their classic Minifish hulls. It involves swapping the original lateen rig (about 65 sq ft) for a more performance-oriented cat rig setup inspired by (or directly adapted from) the Super Sunfish — the 1970s–1980s "racing" version of the Sunfish that used a Marconi/cat rig with a smaller, more efficient sail (around 65 sq ft) and controls like outhaul, downhaul, and vang to compete better with emerging boats like the Laser.
