MAGELLAN 35

MAGELLAN 35

Description

The Magellan 35 is a rare classic wooden-planked cruiser designed by the American firm Eldredge & McInnis (known for traditional, seaworthy motor and sail yachts in the mid-20th century) and built by American Marine Ltd. (Hong Kong, a yard famous for high-quality teak/wood construction under brands like Grand Banks) starting in 1965. Only a small number were produced (likely in the low teens; one documented example is hull #11 of 13), making it a collector's item today—often described as a "lovely" or "very rare" vessel with exceptional craftsmanship (solid Philippine mahogany planking, solid teak decks, hand-rubbed Burmese teak interior). It's a heavy, long-keel monohull emphasizing stability, a dry ride, and comfortable offshore/coastal cruising, with a traditional masthead sloop rig and practical layout (good headroom, enclosed head, galley, berths for 4–6).
