Leopard 45

Description

The Leopard 45 is a popular modern sailing catamaran from Leopard Catamarans (built by Robertson and Caine in South Africa), designed by naval architects Simonis Voogd. Introduced in 2016 and produced through around 2024 (with ~368 units built), it's a versatile bluewater cruiser known for spacious living, solid performance, and family/charter-friendly layouts. It won multiple awards, including Cruising World and SAIL Magazine's Boat of the Year honors in 2017, praised for its balance of comfort, speed, and value. This model evolved from earlier Leopards (like the 44) with updated styling, a forward cockpit, raised helm station, and enhanced interior flow. It's ideal for coastal hopping, Caribbean/Bahamas cruising, or longer offshore passages — stable, easy to handle short-handed, and comfortable at anchor.
