Lancer 25
Description
The Lancer 25 is a classic American trailerable cruiser from the mid-1970s, known for its spacious interior (impressive headroom and berths for its size), shoal draft, and solid build quality. Produced from 1975 to 1984 by Lancer Yacht Corp. (with actual manufacturing contracted to Endeavour Yachts), around a few hundred were built. It's a development of the Columbia T-23, with a wide, hollow fin keel that allows for extra cabin volume while keeping draft shallow — perfect for trailering, beaching, or shallow-water cruising. Designer: W. Shad Turner (credited on the original brochure and in most databases; some sources note influences from Alan Payne's Columbia T-23 design, with tooling provided by Richard Valdes of Columbia/Lancer/Endeavour fame).
