The Kelt 7.6 (also known as the Kelt 7.60 or Kelt 7.6 Meter) is a compact French trailerable sailboat designed as a versatile family cruiser/racer, first built in 1980. It was designed by Jean Berret (French naval architect, known for efficient, seaworthy designs in the 1970s–1980s era, including early Beneteau influences before his major work there). Builder: Originally by Kelt Marine (France, based in Vannes, Morbihan region) from 1979/1980 to 1985. Later licensed production in Canada by Kelt Marine Inc. (Aurora, Ontario) around 1981–1984, with upgrades for North American tastes (e.g., better interior fit-out, comfort features).
