Johnson Weekender 18

Description

The Johnson Weekender 18 (designed by Glen L Marine and built by Johnson Boat Works in the early 1990s, ~200 hulls) is a charming, trailerable pocket cruiser that blends classic lines with surprisingly modern performance and livability. With an LOA of 18′0″, 7′6″ beam, 2,200 lb displacement, and a swing keel (draft 1′0″ up / 4′6″ down), it carries a generous fractional sloop rig of 185 sq ft (SA/D ≈ 20) that makes it genuinely quick and close-winded for a boat with a small cabin. Below, the high coachroof delivers sitting headroom, a V-berth for two adults, two quarter berths, a compact galley area, and room for a portable head—enough for comfortable weekend cruising or even longer adventures for minimalist couples. Built in sturdy hand-laid fiberglass with a balsa-cored deck, it’s simple, rugged, and easy to launch behind any car.
