Description
The Jeanneau Sun Light 30 Tall refers to the tall rig variant of the Jeanneau Sun Light 30, a classic French racer-cruiser designed by Daniel Andrieu and produced by Jeanneau from 1986 to 1989. At approximately 30 feet LOA, the tall rig version enhances the standard model's performance with a taller mast and larger sail area, emphasizing speed for club racing while retaining family cruising comforts in a lightweight fiberglass hull. With a fractional sloop rig (taller proportions for better power), bulbous fin keel options (or keel/centerboard), and a broad stern for stability, it's versatile for coastal day sails, weekends, or light offshore hops but not heavy bluewater due to its light displacement. Around 200-300 units total were built across variants, and the tall rig is rarer, sought after by racers for its IOR-influenced large foretriangle.
