The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 29.2 is a compact family cruiser designed by French naval architect Jacques Fauroux and produced by Jeanneau from 1997 to 2008. With an LOA of approximately 29 feet, it emphasizes easy handling, spacious interiors relative to its size, and versatility for coastal and inland waters. It's available in fixed fin keel (deep or shoal draft) or lifting keel variants, making it ideal for exploring shallow anchorages while offering solid performance in moderate conditions. Known for its modern lines, light-filled cabin, and value on the used market, it's praised as a "sailor's boat" for short-handed or family use, though not designed for heavy offshore passages without upgrades.
