The Islander Freeport 38C (also known simply as the Islander 38C or Freeport 38) is a classic fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by renowned naval architect Robert Perry. Produced by Islander Yachts (later under Tradewind Yachts) between 1983 and 1985, it's a redesigned and slightly enlarged version of the earlier Islander Freeport 36, utilizing the same hull molds with modifications for improved deck and cabin layout. This makes it a durable, bluewater-capable vessel praised for its stability, sailing performance, and comfortable liveaboard qualities. It's not to be confused with the smaller Islander 36 or other unrelated models.
Only about 20-30 units were built, making it relatively rare.
