Islander 33
Description
The Islander 33 (sometimes styled as Islander 33/SL for "Sloop Long") is a classic American racer-cruiser sailboat designed by Joseph H. McGlasson. Built by Wayfarer Yacht Corp. (later under Islander Yachts) from 1964 to 1971, approximately 100 hulls were produced. It's essentially a raised-deck evolution of the original Islander 32, offering improved cabin volume and headroom while retaining the solid fiberglass construction, full-keel-inspired fin keel for stability, and balanced performance suited to coastal racing or family cruising. Known for its sturdy build and forgiving handling, it's a favorite among vintage boat enthusiasts.
