Islander 32
Description
The Islander 32 is a classic fiberglass production sailboat designed by Alan Gurney and built by Islander Yachts (formerly Wayfarer Marine Corporation) in Costa Mesa, California. Introduced in 1966, it was one of the company's early successes and became popular on both U.S. coasts for its balance of performance, seaworthiness, and affordability. Over 200 units of the original model were produced through the early 1970s, with a refined version, the Islander 32 MK II (designed by Robert Perry and launched in 1976), adding about another 200 boats during its four-year run. It's often praised for coastal and short-distance offshore cruising, making it a solid choice for families or couples. A raised-deck variant evolved into the Islander 33, and the design influenced the Islander 34. 9750 lbs. Disp. 3200 lbs. Ballast. 24'10" LWL. 10' Beam. 4'6" Draft.
