Islander 30 Mk II

Description

The Islander 30 Mk II is a classic fiberglass sailboat designed by Alan Gurney (with refinements by Robert Finch) and produced by Islander Yachts (later Tradewind Yachts) in California. It's a popular coastal cruiser from the 1970s, known for its sturdy construction, spacious interior for its size, and balanced sailing performance. Built between 1971 and 1985, it was an evolution of the original Islander 30 (sometimes called Mk I), featuring a raised deck saloon for better headroom and visibility. It's similar in design to the Islander Bahama 30 but with a taller rig option for improved light-air performance.
