Islander 24 Bahama
Description
The Islander Bahama 24 (often simply called the Islander Bahama 25 due to its ~24 ft 10 in LOA rounding up in some listings) is a classic trailerable pocket cruiser designed by Alan G. Newman and built by Islander Yachts in Newport Beach, California, from 1966 to 1968. With approximately 100–150 hulls produced, it's an early fiberglass gem from Islander's founding era, emphasizing simplicity, seaworthiness, and affordability for coastal daysailing, gunkholing, or weekend overnights for 2–4. Featuring a full keel with skeg-hung rudder for stability, a masthead sloop rig, and solid hand-laid fiberglass construction, it's forgiving for beginners (PHRF ~240–260) yet capable in moderate breezes—stiff in 15–20 knots but tender above that without reefing. Owners love its "woody" V-plank appearance (molded lines mimicking teak), dry ride, and easy trailering (~3,500 lb. with trailer). 4200 lbs. Disp. 1700 lbs. Ballast 20' LWL 7'10" Beam 3'5" Draft
