Hylas 46
Description
The Hylas 46 is a premium Taiwanese-built recreational sailboat designed as an elegant center-cockpit blue-water cruiser, balancing high performance, luxurious accommodations, and robust construction for serious offshore voyaging. Designed by German Frers, it was introduced in 1995 by Queen Long Marine Ltd. (Taiwan) in collaboration with Hylas Yachts USA, evolving from the earlier Hylas 44 with added waterline length, a sugar-scoop stern, and enhanced aft beam for better speed and space. Production continues to the present day (as the "H46 Classic"), with approximately 150–200 units built to date, based on brokerage data, owner associations, and market analysis—making it a staple in the Hylas lineup for its proven charter and private use.
