Hunter Vision 32

Description

The Hunter Vision 32 (built 1988–1995, with about 450 hulls produced) is one of the most distinctive and polarizing 32-foot cruisers ever built by Hunter Marine. Designed by the Hunter Design Team as a deliberate break from convention, it features a radical free-standing fractional rig with no backstay or traditional shrouds—instead using two widely swept, wishbone-shaped carbon-fiber struts that support a huge, fully battened mainsail (approximately 340 sq ft) that sets on a curved wishbone boom with full-length battens and lazy jacks for effortless single-handed handling. Combined with a small self-tacking 100% jib on a curved track (total upwind ~440 sq ft) and an optional asymmetrical spinnaker on a retractable sprit, it delivers surprisingly good light-to-moderate-air performance (PHRF 165–180) while being exceptionally easy to sail and reef.
