Hunter 460
Description
The Hunter 460 (built 1999–2004, ~180 hulls) is one of the most spacious and best-finished 46-foot production cruisers Hunter ever produced, and the direct forerunner of the later 45CC and 49/50 models. Designed by Glenn Henderson and the Hunter Design Team, it measures 46 ft 1 in LOA (almost 48 ft with davits and bowsprit) with a generous 14 ft beam and a moderate displacement of 26,000 lbs (10,400 lbs ballast). It was offered with either a shoal wing keel (5 ft 8 in) or deep bulb fin (7 ft). It features the signature backstay-less B&R rig with swept spreaders, a large in-mast furling mainsail (~500 sq ft) + 110–120 % roller-furling genoa (total upwind ~1,050 sq ft), and an optional asymmetrical spinnaker on a retractable carbon sprit — delivering respectable performance for a big cruising boat (PHRF typically 102–114).
