Hunter 460

Description

Hunter 460 (built 1999–2004, approximately 180 hulls) is widely regarded as one of the most successful and luxurious 46-foot production cruisers Hunter Marine ever produced, and the direct ancestor of the later Hunter 45CC and 49/50 series. Designed by Glenn Henderson, it measures 46 ft 1 in LOA (almost 48 ft including davits and bowsprit), with a 14 ft beam and a moderate displacement of 26,000 lbs (10,400 lbs ballast). It was offered with a shoal-draft wing keel (5 ft 8 in) or deep bulb fin (7 ft). It features Hunter’s signature backstay-less B&R fractional rig with swept spreaders, a large in-mast furling mainsail (~500 sq ft) + 110–120 % roller-furling genoa (total upwind ~1,050 sq ft), and an optional asymmetrical spinnaker on a retractable carbon sprit — delivering respectable performance for a big cruising boat (PHRF 102–114).
