Hunter 410

Description

Hunter 410 (built 1998–2003, ~280 hulls) is one of the most popular and best-balanced 41-foot production cruisers Hunter ever made, and it effectively replaced the Legend 40.5 while serving as the direct forerunner of the later Hunter 41/41 DS. Designed by the Hunter Design Team with Glenn Henderson’s input, it measures 40 ft 8 in LOA (almost 43 ft including the reverse transom and bowsprit) with a generous 13 ft 10 in beam and a moderate displacement of 19,500 lbs (7,900 lbs ballast). It was offered with either a shoal-draft wing keel (5 ft 0 in) or deep bulb fin (6 ft 6 in). It features the signature backstay-less B&R fractional rig with swept spreaders, a large in-mast furling mainsail (~440 sq ft) + 110 % roller-furling genoa (total upwind ~900 sq ft), and an optional asymmetrical spinnaker on a retractable carbon sprit — delivering surprisingly good performance for a cruising boat of this size and era (PHRF typically 120–132).
