Hunter 310
Description
The Hunter 310 (built 1997–2002) is an American fractional-rig coastal cruiser designed by the Hunter Design Team as a direct replacement for the popular Hunter 30-2/306 series, with roughly 400 hulls produced. At 30 feet 10 inches LOA (nearly 33 feet including the reverse transom and bowsprit) and a very beamy 10-foot 7-inch hull, it has a moderate displacement of 8,500 lbs (3,400 lbs ballast) and was offered with either a shoal-draft wing keel (3 ft 11 in) or a deeper bulb fin (5 ft 4 in). It features Hunter’s signature backstay-less B&R rig with sharply swept spreaders, a large roachy fully battened mainsail (~250 sq ft), roller-furling 110% jib (~460 sq ft total upwind), and an optional asymmetrical spinnaker on a retractable carbon sprit—delivering surprisingly good performance (PHRF typically 165–180) and exceptionally easy short-handed sailing.
