Hartley TS-12

Hartley TS-12

Description

The Hartley TS-12 (also styled Hartley 12 or TS12) is a classic micro trailer-sailer designed in the 1960s–1970s by New Zealand's Richard Hartley—the pioneer of the entire trailer-sailer concept—as the smallest in his iconic TS series (TS12, TS14, TS16, TS18, TS21). Intended for amateur plywood construction (or GRP molding), it's a hard-chine, fractional sloop with optional tiny cuddy—perfect for daysailing, solo adventures, or "camping" with a boom tent, but too compact for real berths. Extremely rare (far fewer built than the ubiquitous TS16's thousands), with active discussion on Australian Hartley forums but no dedicated class association—most owners treat it as a fun garage project or beach toy.
