Hanse 388

Description

The Hanse 388 is a modern cruising sailboat produced by Hanse Yachts AG, the German yacht builder renowned for its "Easy Sailing" philosophy. Launched in 2017 as an evolution of the popular Hanse 385, the 388 features an updated deck, interior layout, and larger hull side windows while retaining the original performance-oriented hull designed by Judel/Vrolijk & Co. This fractional sloop emphasizes simplicity, speed, and comfort, with self-tacking jibs, all lines led aft to the twin helms, and customizable layouts for family or couple cruising. Its sleek design includes a plumb bow, open transom, and pronounced chines for stability and interior volume, making it ideal for coastal or blue water passages. CE Category A ocean-rated, the Hanse 388 blends sporty handling with luxurious living spaces, appealing to sailors seeking a balance of performance and ease. Production continued until 2024.
