Hans Christian 36

Description

The Hans Christian 36 (1981–1985, ~62 hulls) is the rarest and most controversial production Hans Christian ever built: a Taiwanese yard simply cut the Robert Perry-designed HC-34 mold in half and inserted a 6-foot plug, creating a 36 ft bluewater cutter that Perry publicly disowned for ruining his perfect sheer—yet owners swear it’s the stiffest, driest, and best-riding HC of them all. With 24,000 lb. displacement, 9,200 lb. encapsulated lead, 864 sq ft cutter rig, and lavish hand-carved teak interiors identical to the legendary 38T but on a wider, deeper hull, the HC-36 delivers true ocean-passage comfort in a 36-ft dockage package.
