Description
The Hallberg-Rassy 312 Mk II is a premium Swedish cruising sailboat designed by Christoph Rassy and Olle Enderlein, produced by Hallberg-Rassy Varv AB from 1986 to 1993, with approximately 250 units built (part of the total 690 across Mk I and Mk II). This 31-foot masthead sloop refines the original 1979 Mk I with enhanced light and space: larger portlights moved to the superstructure, a raised coachroof for 1.85 m saloon headroom (up from 1.83 m), and improved deck ergonomics, while retaining the same robust hull and sail plan. Emphasizing seaworthiness, stability, and timeless Scandinavian craftsmanship, it's ideal for couples or small families on coastal voyages or extended bluewater passages—known for its "seakindly" motion in chop, balanced helm, and ability to handle gales without drama. Hand-laid fiberglass construction (solid hull, balsa-cored deck) with Lloyd's certification ensures durability, and the teak interior offers cozy, high-quality living.
