Description
The Glen-L 36 is a series of traditionally styled, world-cruising sailboats designed by Glen-L Marine Designs for amateur builders. Offered as plans and kits, the series includes four variants—Astra, Baron, Caprice, and Delphin—with two distinct layouts (aft cockpit and midship cockpit). Plans are specific to construction method (fiberglass or plywood). Fiberglass uses foam sandwich or C-Flex planking; plywood uses double-diagonal strips. Detailed study plans ($15) and full plans/patterns ($1,900 max) available, with material lists as estimates. The Glen-L 36 series offers robust, customizable blue water cruisers for amateur builders, with spacious layouts and stable performance for long-distance sailing.
