Glen-L 14

Description

The Glen-L 14 is a sweet little trailerable sloop-rigged sailboat from the classic Glen-L lineup, perfect for backyard builders itching to stitch together a zippy day sailor on a budget. At fourteen feet overall with a six-foot beam and just three hundred twenty-five pounds dry weight, she's a plywood stitch-and-glue dream-easy to launch, forgiving for newbies, and quick in light winds thanks to her one hundred eighteen square feet of sail area split between a seventy-three-foot main and forty-five-foot jib. Centerboard drops her draft to eight inches up for beaching or three feet two down for pointing high, with an eight-foot-nine cockpit cozy for two to four folks on lazy lake hops or club races, though she'll heel like a fiend in a blow so reef early.
